History:
Barangay Cabarsican derived its name from the “barsic” tree, a plant plenty of thorns, which are plentifully in the place. Because the trees are thorny, the barangay is sometimes called “siitan” or thorny in English.
Not wanting to be known as “siitan”, the people called the place “Cabarsican”, meaning the place of the Barsic tree. It carried that name since then.
