History:
This barangay derived its name from a plant called “Langcuas” which has banana-like leaf, bears attractive flowers, and has root crop like a ginger. Langcuas is a medicinal herb, specially effective against rheumatism. Because of the abundance of the plant in the area, the name of the plant was adopted as the name of the place.
