History:
Long before the Spanish Regime, there once grew a beautiful dense forest where big and tall trees are abundant called “narra”. The trunks of these trees are excellent for making furniture, wood carvings and floorings for houses. After the Spanish regime, different inhabitants migrated to this place and cultivated the area and they used this narra trees to build their dwellings. The Narra, the strongest tree grown in the Philippines became the national tree of our country. Because of the abundancy of this tree in the area, the people called the place “Narra”.
