History:
According to a story based from the latter part of the Spanish Era, it was said that a stranger got lost in his journey and arrived at this place. Curious about the place, the man inquired from the villagers about its name. Since the people could not tell its name, one man in the crowd pointed at one of the numerous trees with plenty of oblong-shaped fruits which the people called “Pias”, from then on the people called the place “PIAS”.
