History:
Established before 1900, Barangay Poro was under the military administration of Commander Wallace during the American occupation. Three years later, the government advised the residents that they should secure titles to the private lands before 1914 when all untitled lands would be declare as reservation areas for the use of the United States Military. Some of the owners were not able to do this, and so they applied for titles to their lost under a different barangay name. The whole area of what is now Poro, San Agustin, San Francisco, San Vicente, and Canaoay was used during the liberation of San Fernando from the Japanese as surplus depot of the US Military Base. In 1950, when the Voice of America was established, some residents were relocated to poro banks, purok Quirino, and purok Rawis.
