 Sixteen gorgeous guys and eighteen lovely ladies from various schools of this city competed for the crown of the annual search for SBO Campus King and Queen 2009 on February 6, 2009 as a part of the 10-day fiesta celebration of St. William the Hermit, the city’s patron saint. With the theme: “Rising Above Challenges.”
The candidates are Czarina Macalino of BHC, Billy Joe Catbagan and April Joy Pangayan of Don Quintin Balcita Memorial National High School, Rojune Flores and Hannah Rose Nisperos of CICOSAT High School, Kevin Rieta and Angelica Maranan of Felkriz Academy, Mikhail Ray Tinaza and Jamaica Hufana of DMMMSU-MLUC, King Alfred Aber and Lovely Anjunette Ducusin of Gifted Learning Center, Gary Lacasandile and Daphne Poblador of La Union National High School, Howard Casuga and Sheilah Mae Lacsamana of NCST High School, Leslie Joy Angels of AIE College, Robert John Guzman and Brendolf Muñoz of AMA College, Jerome Medina and Ma. Andrea Abellera of CICOSAT College, Jomar Obar and Lovely Nidoy of La Union College of Nursing, Carlton John Araboy and Mary Jane Libatique of LORMA Colleges, Romeo delos Reyes and Tina Galvez of NCST College, Aberick Henry Legaspi and Almira Ewagen of NPCMST, John Aldrin Acuña and Manilyn Poblador of Sea and Sky College, John Edwarnd Diaz and Ma. Cristina Galvan of STI and Aldrin Sanchez and Czarina Estepa of Union Christian College.
This yearly event aims to search handsome men and beautiful ladies who are also talented and would be given the opportunity to be an Ambassador and Ambassadress of Goodwill and represent the students of the city.
The winners of the search for the Campus King are Aldrin Sanchez-SBO Campus King 2009 and won the Best in Formal Wear and Mr. Photogenic, Aberick Henry Legaspi-1st Runner-up and won the Best in Uniform, the Most Articulate, the Most Punctual and Mr. Friendship, Gary Lacasandile-2nd Runner-Up, Kevin Rieta-3rd Runner-up and won the Best in Talent, Best in Creative Costume and Best in Beach Wear and John Aldrin Acuña -4th Runner-Up.
For the Campus Queen, the winners are Mary Jane Libatique-SBO Campus Queen 2009 who also won the Best in Formal Wear, Czarina Macalino-1st Runner-up and won the Best in Talent and Most Articulate, Angelica Maranan-2nd Runner-Up and Best in Creative Costume, Brendolf Muñoz-3rd Runner-up and Best in Beach Wear and Daphne Poblador-4th Runner-Up and was the Ms. Photogenic.
The crowns were turned over by SBO Campus King 2008 Jerome Guanzo of Union Christian College and SBO Campus Queen 2008 Ma. Natalie Soriano of Lorma Special Science High School.
The event was spearheaded by Chairperson of the Committee, Hon. Joseph M. de Guzman and Vice-Chaired by Hon. Joseph Bernard Valero and Hon. Ma. Rosario Eufrosina Nisce with Arch. Bobbi Baradi and Lara Umali-Cruz as Fashion Consultants and Ian Ortaleza and Andrew Perez as the choreographers. |
