City Health Office celebrates Sight-Saving, Lung Months

 
     
 

The City Health Office, under Dr. Eduardo Posadas tested over 107 patients with eye defects in line with the Sight Saving Month observance last August.

The City, in coordination with the Department of Health-CDH-Ilocos, La Union Medical Society and Siapno-Tada Optical Clinic, recorded 26 patients screened for consultation, 18 with error of refraction and 8 patients with cataract.

Resource speakers included Drs. Florante Licudine, Reynaldo Espinueva and Arleen Galvan.

This year’s theme is “Save Sight for a Brighter Life-Excellence and Equity in Eye Care-Human Right.”

During the Lung Month Celebration, the CHO in coordination with the Rotary Club of San Fernando, La Union Medical Society, Land Transportation Office and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, held a Memorandum of Agreement signing on the implementation of “Clean-Air Act.;” tree-planting by the LUMS and Rotary last August 8; and distributed medicines for smoke-cessation

On hand to speak were Dr. Dante Valdez and officers of the Land Transportation Office, DENR and Rotary Club.
