City treasury reports:  Revenue higher as year ends

 
     
 

City Treasury Officer Wilfredo Ordoño expressed optimism recently that revenue collection is expected to surpass last year’s, target as soon as books close for the year 2009.

In the CTO’s comparative report of revenues and receipts, Generated Revenues such as Tax Revenues, Operating and Miscellaneous Revenues, Business Service Income, Receipts from Economic Enterprise and Externally-Generated Revenues amounted to a total income of Php1 303, 716, 967.24 last year.

As of September, Php280, 411, 494.67, has been collected from the said revenue sources, the report said.

The city government has also accumulated Php303, 716, 967.24 in the Externally-Generated Revenue particularly the Internal Revenue Allotment or excise taxes last year. As of September, they have collected Php 181, 260,979.

A rundown of collection as of September included; Property Taxes- Php878, 164.43; Taxes on Goods and Services-Php856, 667.50; Other taxes such as community, amusement and miscellaneous taxes-Php16,250; Printers Tax-Php1,352,492. 34;

The CTO also collected income from Operating and Miscellaneous Revenues; Business Service Income; and Receipts from Economic Enterprise---totaling up to Php89, 725, 349. 89 as of September 2009.

Ordoño advised the public to pay taxes promptly to help the city generates income for its programs and projects that would benefit residents.
