In line with the Environment Month celebration, the City Government of San Fernando thru the City Environment and Natural Resources (City ENRO) with the participation of various Colleges and Universities in the city, and Night Market Stalls as co-sponsor, undertake Mural Painting Activity last July 6, 2010.
The Mural Painting depicts the theme of the Environment Month Celebration: Samu’t Saring Buhay, Isang Planeta, Isang Kinabukasan. It was judged according to the following criteria: relevance to the theme, creativity (includes color combination), cleanliness of work, and general impact.
Participants were provided with the materials needed and they were given 1 day to finish their piece. The surface wall of the Marcos Building (south portion) will be the location of the Mural Painting.
Environmental awareness is very essential in instilling in the minds of the youth. Mural activity was held to promote the importance of protecting the environment, particularly in the maintenance of a clean environment and for the participants to participate and support environmental programs and projects.
