San Fernando City celebrates Feast of St. William the Hermit

 
     
 

The annual fiesta celebration of the City of San Fernando La Union, the Feast of St. William the Hermit, started on January 22, 2011 with the opening of the Agri-Trade fair. The fair was initiated by the City Agriculture Office and it was launched to promote the different agricultural products of the 59 barangays of San Fernando. They were divided into 12 Districts with the 12 Councilors as their collaborators.

National Bible Celebration, Blessing and Inauguration of City Projects, Opening of the Carnival Fair, Acrobatic Show, Free Anti-Rabies Vaccination, Dog Fashion Show and the Wreath Laying Rites were the some of the activities conducted in preparation for the highlight of the celebration on February 10.

The following were also lined up for the festivities: Baratillo, Night of the NGOs, Field Demo of Public Schools from Highlands, Field Demo of Public Schools from Lowland, Parish Pastoral Night, Parade of Differently Abled Persons, Differently Abled Sports Tournament, Educator's Night, Mountain Bike/BMX Race, 4th Mayor Pablo C. Ortega Karatedo Championship 2011, Kiddie Chess, Talent Search for Ms. San Fernando 2011, SMB Night, Boxing sa Plaza, National Motocross 2011, Pa-Bingo ng Coca-Cola, Ms. Gay Universe 2011, SBO and SK Night, Liga ng mga Barangay Night, Grand Civic and Military Parade, Diana of Bands around the City, Ringing of the Church Bells and Start of Mass and Religious Services, Fiesta Mass/Thanksgiving Mass, Procession of St. William the Hermit around the Plaza and Selection,Proclamation and Coronation of "Ms. San Fernando & Ms. Barangay 2011."
