The City Government of San Fernando headed by Mayor Pablo Ortega, the Saint Louis College led by Rev. Fr. Gilbert Sales, officer in charge, and the Barangay Council of Cadaclan under Bgy. Capt. Antonio Jucar signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on Friday for the continuing program on tree growing.
The signing was held at the La Union Botanical Garden coincided with the planting of 100 mango samplings along the Cadaclan road.

The activity was part of the 100th celebration of Congregatio Immaculati Cardis Mariae (CICM – Congregation of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Nov.28, 1907-2007) attended by SLC faculty and staff, Cadaclan officials, volunteers and the city environment office under Valmar Valdez.
It was agreed that the trees planted will be properly taken cared off until it bears fruit which will be divided among them.
Ortega commended the SLC management for initiating such project because it will help in the preservation of environment because “trees are the lungs of the earth.” |
