Parents of children with visual impairment and different abilities attended a 2-day workshop organized by the City Health Office in partnership with the Parent Advocates for Visually Impaired Children Inc. (PAVIC) last June 28 – 29, 2018 at the People’s Hall.

The workshop is aimed at addressing the therapy needs of children and providing their parents and guardians appropriate knowledge and skills in raising them.

Manong Dong Gualberto welcomed the participants warmly saying the children are closest to his heart and believes that they must be given equal rights and opportunities in the society.

PAVIC’s Occupational, Physical and Speech therapists also conducted initial assessment to 29 children with visual impairments, cerebral palsy, autism, intellectual disability, and cleft lip palate.
