Last year, the Department of Budget and Management granted Php 7Million for the development of public open spaces across the People’s City. This project is in line with DBM's program “Green, Green, and Green”, which aims to support 145 cities in the country to develop parks and create a greener and more sustainable environment.

To further maintain and conserve marine resources of the municipal waters of the City, the Coastal Law Enforcement Team of the City of San Fernando, La Union through the Task Force Sagip Karagatan (TSFK) spearheaded by the City Agriculture Office conducted seaborne patrol operation and foot patrol operation from the Lingsat Marine Protected Area to the coast waters of Brgy. San Vicente last May 15, 2019.
