Twenty-one water pump units were distributed to 21 associations and cooperative farmers, and 200 pieces of drying nets were given to 30 villagers by the City Government of San Fernando in the year end of 2017.


The provision of water pumps and drying nets cost a total worth of Php 1,305,000. Each water pump costs Php 55,000 while each drying net costs Php 750. The purchase of equipment was made possible through the City Agriculture Fund under the irrigation support services and post-harvest facilities and farm equipment services.


City Mayor Hermenegildo ‘Dong’ Gualberto led the distribution of farm equipment to local farmers last December 29, 2017 at the Food Terminal, Barangay Biday, City of San Fernando. Also in attendance are City Agriculturist Eduvijis Flores and City Councilors Antonio Jucar, Ramon Laudencia, Arnel Almazan, and Ramon Melecio Gurion.



The beneficiaries were associations and cooperative farmers from Bato Farmers Association, Abut Farmers Association, Cabarsican Farmers Association, Bangbangolan Livestock Farmers Association, Tanquigan Agriculture Credit Cooperative, Maris ti Daya MPC, Baraoas Farmers Association, Santiago Sur Agriculture Credit Cooperative, Cadaclan Farmers Association, and Bunggoy Dagiti Mannalon Credit Cooperative, Pao Norte Consumers Cooperative, Pacpaco MPC, CSFLU Vegetable Growers Credit Cooperative, Apaleng Upland Farmers Association, Puspus Farmers Association, Narra Este Farmers Association, Narra Oeste Farmers Association, Cabarsican Agrarian Credit Cooperative, Bungro Farmers Association, Pao Sur Farmers Association, Pao Sur Farmers Credit Cooperative, and Santiago Norte Farmers Association.
