2 SAN FERNANDO CENTENARIANS RECEIVED GIFT

The City Government, through the representatives of the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) and the Office of the Senior Citizen Association (OSCA), awarded Lolo Jose, and Lola Elena, centenarian cash gifts on April 7, 2021.
Acting Mayor Alfred Ortega sent a congratulatory letter for reaching 100 years old to Lolo Jose of Barangay Lingsat. He also received a check amounting to 100,000 pesos from the City Government. He recently turned 101 years old on February 4, 2021.
Lola Elena was also given 10,000 pesos in check, and 10,000 pesos worth of groceries and brand-new clothes for being the oldest centenarian in the entire province and the whole of Ilocos Region. She received her centenarian cash gift from the City in 2015.
The giving of this gift is in accordance with RA No.10868 or the Centenarian act of 2016 wherein Filipinos living in the Philippines or abroad who reached 100 years old will be given P100,000 in cash and a Letter of Felicitation from the President.
Acting City Mayor Alf Ortega is always committed in reaching out to the needs of our lolo’s and lola’s in the City of San Fernando. His love for the Pamilyang San Fernando especially to our senior citizens has always been the source of his strength during these trying times.
The City Government expresses #SanFernandoAyAyatenKa to our senior citizens who form a significant part of our community.
