In celebration of National Statistics Month, the City Government, through the Local Economic and Business Development Office (LEBDO), conducted the Basic Tourism Statistics Training: Empowering Tourism Through Data for accommodation establishments to learn, increase collaboration, and strengthen their foundation of tourism data reporting at the La Union Trade Center on October 17-18, 2024.

Mr. Edilberto Littaua Jr. from the Department of Tourism (DOT) Region 1 guided the participants through hands-on workshops, informative updates, and open discussions to empower them and contribute to the ongoing efforts to elevate local tourism.

Meanwhile, the participants learned the importance of submitting accurate and timely data, not just as a compliance measure, but as a critical tool for shaping the future of tourism in the city.

This training also underscores the responsibility of adhering to local ordinances and is a reminder of possibly recognizing the establishments that actively submit their data.
