To promote a clean, healthy, sustainable environment and ease the threat of flooding across the City, the City Government of San Fernando through the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) initiates a Creek Clean-Up Drive.

The City ENRO targets to clean the creeks in the city including the five major creek which includes the San Agustin Creek, Ilocanos Sur – Norte Creek, Pagdalagan Creek, Carlatan-Pagdaraon Creek and Catbangen-Poro Creek.

To date, the City ENRO has already recorded a total number of 433 sacks of garbage from the five major creeks of the City.

Aside from the Creek Clean-Up, the City ENRO will also be conducting Coastal Clean Up along the 14 coastal barangays of the City.

The amount of trash that they will be collected per week will be monitored to verify whether there is a decrease in trash collected in the selected areas.

The City Government will always push through to its commitment when it comes to preserving the natural beauty of our environment. The People’s City calls on every resident to take part of the solution and prevention in addressing the needs of our natural habitat. Let us always do our share for #SANFERNANDOAYAYATENKA.
