The City Government of San Fernando, La Union (CGSFLU), through the City Social Welfare and Development Office, conducted the Solo Parents’ Congress at the ABC Hall on April 21, 2026.

Mr. Wilson G. Del Rosario of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), and Ms. Catherine D. Nieves of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) served as Learning Service Providers during the congress.

Discussed in the event were the programs exclusively offered by the DTI and the TESDA to solo parents.

The congress was held in celebration of the 2026 Solo Parents Week, and was attended by 40 solo parents from the city.
