The City Government of San Fernando, La Union, through the Special Projects Office under the Office of the City Mayor, successfully implemented the Lingkod Eskwela at Tulong Reading Activity (LETRA) at the Barangay Ilocanos Sur Covered Court.

The reading and peer tutoring activities cater to children ages 5 to 11 years old from the barangays of Ilocanos Sur, Ilocanos Norte, Tanqui, Dallangayan, and Catbangen.

Currently, 71 children are participating in the reading activities with the assistance of the Sirib, Siglat, ken Dungngo Scholars.

Children from these barangays who wish to join the activity are encouraged to visit the venue from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM.
The program will run until May 21, 2026.

This initiative aims to further advance the literacy and reading efficiency of young Fernandos and Fernandas in our #PeoplesCity of #SanFernandoTayo.
