The City Government of San Fernando, La Union (CGSFLU), through the Office of the City Mayor (OCM) – Special Projects Office (SPO), successfully conducted the “Bayanihan sa Eskwelahan” at the Sibuan-Otong Integrated School covered court on December 11, 2025.

The ceremony was led by City Mayor Hermenigildo A. Gualberto, joined by Sibuan-Otong Integrated School Principal Mr. Narcie Ricky A. Apilado, Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Mr. Nestor C. Herana, and Curriculum Implementation Division (CID) Chief Dr. Jose Mari P. Almeida.

The day commenced with informative discussions from the City Hall offices: the City Health Office (CHO) covered essential Healthy Habits; the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) provided hands-on training in Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid; and the City Environmental and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) held their eye-opening “GreenTalks with the Generation.”

A major highlight was the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the newly provided playground for the children, along with the turnover of various equipment for their Reading Hub.

The students received gift packs, grocery items, and educational kits, and enjoyed free haircuts and fun games.
