City Mayor Manong Dong met with the Technical Working Group (TWG) on Processes and Capacity Building of the Justice Sector Coordinating Council (JSCC) yesterday, February 26, 2026, to discuss the city’s initiative and commitment to be designated as a Justice Zone.

The meeting was held upon the personal invitation of Hon. Maria Filomena D. Singh, Associate Justice of the Supreme Court and Chairperson of the JSCC-TWG.

The City delegation, led by Manong Dong and supported by Atty. Maria Nadia Nalinac V. Gonzales-Pilar, Atty. Cee Jaye L. Gumangan, and Atty. Jestherin G. Baliton received a distinguished reception. They were personally accommodated by Justice Singh, together with Hon. Ronaldo Roberto B. Martin, Associate Justice of the Court of Appeals and TWG Vice Chairperson, and Hon. Wilhelma B. Jorge-Wagan, Associate Justice of the Court of Appeals, and Hon. Jean Marie A. Bacorro-Villena, Associate Justice of the Court of Tax Appeals, TWG Co-Vice Chairpersons.

The city’s participation signifies its strong intent to be designated as a Justice Zone. The session reinforced key concepts and operational frameworks on said initiative and focused on the designation process, the City’s level of readiness, and the specific requirements for inclusion.

Moreover, the discussion likewise covered preparatory steps for the official launch in the event the City is formally designated as a Justice Zone.

By aligning with the framework of the JSCC, the city seeks to move beyond traditional operations and advance toward a more integrated, coordinated, and responsive justice system for the #PeoplesCity of #SanFernandoTayo.
