CREATIVE INDUSTRY TO BE HOUSED IN NEWLY-BUILT INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT IN THE CITY
The creative industry in the City of San Fernando, La Union is set to be housed in the CREATE Your San Fernando eLyU UNSDG Innovation Center, a newly-built infrastructure project located at the City Hall compound, which was inaugurated on June 17, 2026.
Funded by the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) Incentive Fund, the Innovation Center shall feature a recording studio, art gallery, multimedia room, and gastronomy space.
Simultaneously, the La Union Trade Center was also relaunched, catering to 26 micro, small, and medium enterprises, where various local products are sold.
In addition, an update and a site visit to the Automated Weather Station, another SGLG Incentive Fund project managed by the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, were facilitated.
Present in the event were DILG Provincial Director Virgilio P. Sison, DTI Provincial Director Victoria A. OrdoƱo, City Mayor Hermengildo A. Gualberto, City Councilors Hon. Kyle Marie Eufrosito Y. Nisce, Hon. Joseph Clarence DG Valero, Hon. Leonardo R. Soriano Jr., and Hon. Ramon F. Laudencia, CLGOO Atty. Patrick Jorge C. Sibayan, and employees of the City Government.
