CGSFLU CONDUCTS ICT CAPACITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES
The City Government of San Fernando, La Union, through the Persons with Disability Affairs Office (PDAO) and the City Information and Communications Technology Office (CICTO), conducted a three-day Information and Communication Technology Capacity Development Training for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) at the Computer Training Center, 3rd Floor of the Permanent Business One-Stop Shop Building on April 27–29, 2026.
The program aimed to equip persons with disabilities with essential computer literacy and digital skills as they navigate the digital age. During the training, a total of 60 persons with disabilities participated, with 20 participants attending each day.
Resource speakers Mr. Kenneth Jay D. Bruno, Information Systems Analyst I, and Mr. Emmanuel L. Versola, Information Systems Researcher I, delivered discussions and hands-on learning on basic computer operations, including computer components and troubleshooting, typing skills, and productivity software.
Meanwhile, Engr. Germie O. Deang, Department Head of CICTO, also delivered the opening remarks and message to the participants during the sessions.
Through programs that promote 21st-century skills to every Fernando and Fernanda regardless of capabilities, the City Government continues to build an inclusive and intelligent #PeoplesCity of #SanFernandoTayo.
