CITY GAD OFFICE PROMOTES HEALTH AND WELLNESS ACCESS FOR PRIDE COMMUNITY

The City Gender and Development (GAD) Office, in partnership with the City Health Office (CHO), organized a Free Medical and Dental Mission, HIV and AIDS screening, Orientation on Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity and Expression and Sexual Characteristics (SOGIESC), and Mental Health Awareness Seminar held at the ABC Hall.
With a total of 51 participants joining the activity, the CHO personnel including Medical Officer III, Dr. John Paolo E. Rimando, Nurses; Ms. Eloisa Ada Fe G. Go, Ms. Nieves T. Riparip, Mr. Cary S. Valmonte, and Mr. Amor Ordoño, Medical Technologists; Ms. Aina Marie T. Caguya and Ms. Jelly Joy E. Balancio, Dentist II, Dr. Jockey Nikki B. Plurad, Dental Aide, Ms. Jobylyn A. Telles, and Pharmacist, Mr. Raymund P. Ryan Batac facilitated the free medical and dental mission and HIV and AIDS screening.
Furthermore, there were two discussions conducted in which Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Sustainable Livelihood Program Project Development Officer, Mr. Mervenn Aguado talked about the Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity and Expression and Sexual Characteristics (SOGIESC) while CHO Health Education Promotion Officer, Ms. Bernalexi Caballero focused on Mental Health Awareness.
As part of the opening activities during the Pride Month celebration, this activity aims to provide accessible services to fellow LGBTQIA++ members of the society and promote unity, inclusivity, and solidarity in the city.
