The City Government, through the Public Employment and Services Office (PESO), Local Economic and Business Development Office (LEBDO) and PESO-La Union in partnership with Robinsons Retail, conducted Local Recruitment Activity at Union Christian College (UCC) last April 28-29, 2021.

Out of the 242 participants who applied, around 167 were deemed qualified and were accepted for job interviews to fill 150 vacant positions.

Due to the pandemic, many workers were displaced and are in need of a source of income.

With this, the City Government continues to exert more effort in increasing the employment rate in the city to allow the local economy to flourish.
