The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) granted the Notice of Compliance to the City Government of San Fernando, La Union for its Local Public Transport Route Plan (LPTRP) in an awarding ceremony held at the ICT Training Center on April 29, 2024.

City Planning and Development Officer Mr. Brix Caesar D. Cafuir gave the opening remarks and Mr. Randy M. Abasolo shared the approval process of the LPTRP and recognized the efforts of the team involved in obtaining the approval.

With the approved LPTRP, the Sangguniang Panglunsod is now tasked to adopt the Plan through an ordinance. The ordinance will be the basis for the LTFRB to issue a Memorandum Circular for the implementation of the Plan.

LTFRB Regional Director Atty. Anabel Marzan-Nullar was present to award the Notice of Compliance to the city with the presence of City Mayor Hon. Hermenegildo A. Gualberto, Committee Chair for Transportation and representative to City Vice Mayor Hon. Alfredo Pablo R. Ortega, City Councilor Hon. John H. Orros, selected city department heads, and officers of LTFRB Region 1.
