To celebrate the 26th Cityhood Foundation Anniversary of the City of San Fernando, La Union, the City Government conducted a Flag Raising and Wreath Laying Ceremony in front of the City Hall earlier today, March 20, 2024.

After the ceremonial flag raising, City Vice Mayor Hon. Alfredo Pablo R. Ortega delivered his opening remarks in which he expressed his gratitude and appreciation for each and everyone’s work and dedication to the welfare of the City of San Fernando.

Following thereafter is the wreath-laying ceremony at the monument of Dr. Jose P. Rizal and Speaker Pro Tempore Francisco I. Ortega together with the representatives of Francisco Isabelo Ortega Masonic Lodge No. 452.

Moreover, City Mayor Hon. Hermenegildo A. Gualberto delivered his anniversary message wherein he highlighted the spirit of “Tayo” being a community that connects, cares for each other, and collaborates to become an instrument and solution towards holistic development.

A dance number in the beat of the San Fernando Jingle headed by City Councilors Hon. Lucia Esperanza O. Valero and Hon. Mark Anthony A. Ducusin, together with selected City Government employees, was also conducted before ending the program.

City Councilors Hon. Kyle Marie Eufrosito Y. Nisce, Hon. Pablo C. Ortega, Hon. Jonathan Justo A. Orros, Hon. Rodolfo M. Abat, Hon. Aldrine R. Jucar, Hon. Arnel A. Almazan, Hon. John H. Orros, and Sangguniang Kabataan Federation President Hon. Kirk Andrew M. Agulan were also present during the ceremony.
