The City Government of San Fernando, through the Office of the City Agriculturist, and in partnership with the National Irrigation Administration (NIA), continues its support to farmers through the provision of various equipment such as water pumps and irrigation hoses.
A total of 26 dug wells, 26 water pumps, 71 irrigation hoses, as well as vegetable seeds were turned over to various farmer associations, namely Cabarsican Farmer’s Association, Bunggoy Dagiti Mannalon Credit Cooperative, Dallangayan Este Farmers Association, Dallangayan Oeste Agriculture Cooperative, Mameltac Farmers Association, Narra Este Farmer’s Association, Puspus Farmers Association, Sagayad Farmers Association, and Saoay Farmer’s Association.
City Vice Mayor Chary Nisce, City Councilors Tony Jucar, and Atty. Rizalde Laudencia led the distribution ceremony at the Food Terminal in Barangay Biday last September 4, 2020.
The distribution of these equipment shall give our farmers much needed help in raising production levels, especially during this season where there is less rainfall.
Through the proactive and progressive leadership of City Mayor Alf Ortega, the City Government shall continue to uplift the Agriculture Sector, as a vital contributor to the City’s vibrant economy. This is how we show #SanFernandoAyayatenKa.
