CITY GOVERNMENT CONTINUES TO DEVELOP SEA OF LIFE: UNDERWATER MUSEUM PROJECT

The City Government of San Fernando, La Union continues to develop the Sea of Life, a previously established project with JCI Manila, Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), and Ocean Deep Dive Shop, through having another partner, the Naval Forces Northern Luzon (NFNL) on May 16, 2023 during the Turnover of Equipment Ceremony at Naval Station Ernesto Ogbinar, Poro Point, City of San Fernando, La Union.
As a show of gratitude, a Certificate of Appreciation and Friendship was awarded to our partners who have been with us since the start of this project. Likewise, NFNL Commander Commodore Francisco G. Tagamolila, Jr., PN received the same Certificate on behalf of the Naval Forces as a new partner of the Sea of Life project.
JCI Vice President of Community Affairs Mr. Miguel Ochoa then delivered his closing remarks after the awarding of Certificates. Also present during the event were PCG personnel headed by Commander CG Commo Philipps Y. Soria, JCI Chairperson Felipe Cruz, and Mr. Jun Santos of Ocean Deep Dive Shop.
The turnover of equipment was also conducted later on in which JCI Manila facilitated a deed of donation to all of our partners.
Sea of Life project started last year and this soon-to-be completed underwater museum will be our newest eco-tourism and diving attraction here in our city. Let us look forward to its opening and operation so we can invite locals to rediscover #SanFernandoTayo and encourage more tourists to visit the #PeoplesCity of San Fernando.
