City Mayor Hermenegildo A. Gualberto, on behalf of the City Government, expressed its gratitude to the Balikatan 2024 delegation headed by BGEN Raymond L Adams USMC and BGEN Ferdinand Melchor C Dela Cruz PA during the Dedication Ceremony of the two-classroom school building in San Agustin (Poro) Elementary School (ES) on May 8, 2024.

Provincial Governor Hon. Raphaelle Veronica Ortega-David, Officer-in-Charge Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Diosdado I. Cayabyab, and San Agustin ES School Principal Dr. Alma G. Balubar were invited to the ceremony and delivered their messages to the delegation.

Also invited were the Barangay Captain of San Agustin Hon. Nicanor M. Ramos, Barangay Captain of Poro Hon. Joseph Clarence D. Valero, Barangay Captain of San Francisco Hon. Conrado M. Busa, and Barangay Kagawad John Mari J. Orros, representative of Barangay Captain of Canaoay Hon. Geraldine R. Ortega.

Moreover, representatives from Poro Point Management Corporation were also present during the event.

In addition to the dedication of the school building, Ronald McDonald House Charities also donated tables and chairs and sponsored the food distributed to the learners present in the activity.

The City Government extends its deepest gratitude to the Armed Forces of the Philippines, United States Armed Forces, and Australian Armed Forces for constructing a school building here in our city. Through this, we are more inspired to promote better access to education here in the #PeoplesCity of #SanFernandoTayo.
