Amidst the CoViD-19 pandemic, the City Government of San Fernando, La Union, through the Local Economic and Business Development Office (LEBDO) and the Knowledge Management and Corporate Communications Office (KMCCO) strive to improve public service delivery. With the continuing limitations on transportation, the City Government presented new updates and improvements on the San Fernando On the Go web-portal that would provide users better convenience and accessibility to basic needs.

Mayor Alf Ortega, together with the project proponents from the LEBDO and KMCCO led the presentation to the several business partners last August 27, 2020 at the Liga ng mga Barangay Hall, City Hall.

According to Austin Ogad, operations head, the new upgraded San Fernando On The Go now allows business partners to have their own log-in accounts that they can access through the web portal. This allows them to easily track and manage orders that are coming in.

The new main feature of the system is that it now enables businesses that do not have an in-house delivery capability to use San Fernando On the Go as their outsourced delivery platform through their business accounts. The clients’ shopping experience will also be easier because of the new “add-to-cart” feature.

Lastly, the San Fernando On The Go web portal will have a slightly differently look through a modern design interface.

City Mayor Alf Ortega acknowledged the business partners for joining and helping the City Government’s programs that are in line with the thrust to become a SMART CITY by the year 2025. “We want to make it easier for our partners sa business sector. That’s why we’re going to launch our Version 2 (of the San Fernando On the Go) para at least, kung ano man ang mga concerns nung una ay nahanapan na ng solusyon. The City Government is here to help you out in as much as we also need your help.” Mayor Alf said in his message.

As we move on to the New Normal, the City Government of San Fernando shall continue to provide genuine solutions to modern problems. Together, we will rise for a #SanFernandoAyayatenKa.
