CITY GOVERNMENT LAUNCHES PAARALANG BUGHAW, CONDUCTS BAYANIHAN SA ESKWELAHAN

In an effort to promote the health of students and readiness of schools, the City Government of San Fernando, La Union simultaneously conducted the Bayanihan sa Eskwelahan and school launching ceremony of Paaralang Bughaw: Healthy Schools for Healthy San Fernando held at Lingsat Integrated School (LIS) on January 22, 2025.

 

City Mayor Hermenegildo A. Gualberto, Department of Education – Schools Division Office (DepEd – SDO) San Fernando City, La Union OIC – Schools Division Superintendent (SDS) Dr. Sheila Marie A. Primicias, LIS Principal IV Ms. Brenda A. Sabado, and City Health Officer Dr. Michael C. Bangloy delivered their respective greetings and messages during the Paaralang Bughaw School Kick-off Activity.

 

Afterwards, they signed the Commitment Form and Pledge of Commitment Board as a gesture of support for this program.

 

As part of the activities, the newly refurbished Wellness Space was opened to the public after the ribbon-cutting ceremony led by City Mayor, DepEd – SDO officials, and LIS Principal. This facility was developed under the Bayanihan sa Eskwelahan Project with the theme, “Bayanihan Para sa Matatag na Paaralan”.

 

Students participated in the Sayaw-Galaw, free haircut, and various booth stations featuring interactive health-related games designed to educate and inspire healthy practices.
