JOBSEEKERS EXPLORE JOB OPPORTUNITIES AT THE 10TH SAN FERNANDO CITY PEOPLE’S JOB FAIR

The City Government of San Fernando, La Union through the City Public Employment Service Office (PESO) conducted the 10th San Fernando City People’s Job Fair at the CSI Mall Atrium on November 6, 2024.
Among the 142 jobseekers, 40 were hired on the spot by 37 participating local employers.
The event commenced with the opening remarks of Mr. Roderic D. Gacayan, PESO Manager, on behalf of City Mayor Hermenegildo A. Gualberto.
Also in attendance were Ms. Bernadette May M. Mamitag, Supervising Labor and Employment Officer, representing Regional Director Mr. Exequiel Ronie Guzman of Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Regional Office 1, and Ms. Veronica A. Corsino, Head of DOLE- La Union Field Office, to deliver her closing remarks and declare the opening of the job fair.
This job fair was conducted to bridge the gap between job seekers and emerging industries, and aid in promoting a stronger economy and providing pathways for people to build sustainable careers.
The City Government continues to support local job recruitment efforts to increase employment and productivity of the #PeoplesCity of #SanFernandoTayo.
