CITY GOVERNMENT KICKS OFF NATIONAL WOMEN'S MONTH CELEBRATION

The City Gender and Development (GAD) Focal Point System – Technical Working Group (GFPS-TWG) headed by its Chair, Ms. Maria Theresa M. Navarro, and the City GAD Office spearheaded the Kick-off Activity for the 2023 National Women’s Month celebration held during the Flag Raising Ceremony in front of the City Hall on March 6, 2023.
Following the Ceremony, City Mayor Hermenegildo A. Gualberto delivered his message of appreciation to women as well as the city’s commitment to women empowerment followed by a serenade courtesy of GAD Assistant Mr. Emil O. Tadiarca.
GAD Specialist III, Ms. Leizel L. Licayan, then announced the calendar of activities for Women’s Month. A brief announcement from the City Veterinarian Dr. Flosie P. Decena on free services offered by the City Veterinary Office in celebration of Rabies Awareness Month followed.
Furthermore, Board Member Hon. Maria Rosario Eufrosina P. Nisce delivered her message for the Kick-off Activity. She emphasized the various gains and pioneer projects of the City in its effort to empower women. City Councilor Hon. Lucia Esperanza Ortega-Valero also expressed her words of gratitude to the City Government for empowering women through meaningful projects and programs.
