As part of its CoViD-19 Recovery Initiatives, the City Government of San Fernando, La Union launched the ‘Book Saves’ program through the City Health Office in partnership with the City Library. This program aims to provide comfort, new insight, and welcome escape for CoViD-19 patients through reading books and other materials during their isolation.
The City Government provided Sixty (60) non-fiction books and fourteen (14) children’s books to the City Isolation Facilities for the first set of distribution. The reading materials were part of the donations from the University of Santo Tomas – Manila and De La Salle University – Araneta for the City Library.
Beyond physical health and wellness, your City Government recognizes the psychological struggles brought about by the pandemic. Everything we do during and after this crisis is with a strong focus on building a better and safe community. Let us work together for this #sharedresponsibility.
