The City Government of San Fernando officially received the 2023 Seal of Good Education Governance (SGEG) for being the Red Seal Awardee (Second-Time Winner) which was turned over during the Local School Board (LSB) meeting on June 20, 2024 at the ABC Hall.

City Mayor Hon. Hermenegildo A. Gualberto received the plaque of recognition along with the Officer-in-Charge Office of the Schools Division Superintendent Diosdado I. Cayabyab and other members of Local School Board who are present in the said meeting.

It can be recalled that the City Government was recognized as winner of the 2023 Seal of Good Education Governance – Red Awardee on September 22, 2023.

The Synergeia Foundation, in partnership with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), spearheads the annual Seal of Good Education Governance award program that recognizes local governments that effectively organize all systems and processes in the delivery of basic education.
