In celebration of National Children’s Month, the City Social Welfare and Development Office of the City Government in coordination with the City Council for the Protection of Children (CCPC) led the kick-off ceremony held during the flag-raising in front of the City Hall on November 4, 2024.

With the theme, “Break the Prevalence, End the Violence: Protecting Children, Creating a Safe Philippines,” the city employees and officials took the Panatang Makabata, which was led by children representatives Mark C-Jay J. Libatique and Dane Michael D. Lucero. This is to signify their participation and support to the month-long celebration.

Moreover, City Mayor Hermenegildo A. Gualberto delivered his message to encourage everyone to support the youth and make a change for our community. The month-long calendar of activities was also announced during the ceremony.

This celebration should be annually observed in accordance with the Republic Act No. 10661 declaring the month of November of every year as the National Children’s Month.
