The City Government of San Fernando, through the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO), gave honor to five (5) city garbage collectors during the Department Heads’ meeting on August 24, 2020 at the People’s Hall, City of San Fernando, La Union.
Arnold Soliman, Dominador Flores, Joel Jobson, Eddie Tejada, and Elvin R. Espenilla are part of the Garbage Collection Team of the City who were given certificates of recognition for their honesty as they were reported to have returned misplaced cash, cell phone, and valuable documents to the rightful owner.
Further, the City ENRO also acknowledged and gave a certificate of recognition to Edna Duculan, a member of the Eco Waste Association, for her initiative of putting up a backyard garden to benefit and sustain her fellow displaced waste pickers amidst the CoViD-19 Pandemic.
These people are living proofs that kindness and honesty continue to prevail in the City of San Fernando even in these challenging times. The City Government is grateful for the people who contribute to our City’s common good. Like them, let us continue to work together and inspire each other by instilling honesty and integrity for the betterment of our community and #SanFernandoAyAyatenKa.
