In recognition of their honest and admirable behavior, forty (40) honest tricycle drivers were honored by the City Government on Wednesday, September 2, 2020, at the City Lobby, Mayor’s Office, City Hall.

City Mayor Alf Ortega, together with City Local Economic and Business Development (LEBDO) Officer Rizalyn Medrano and Public Services Officer Evelyn Pocsidio awarded cash incentives and certificates to each of the honest tricycle drivers who were reported to have returned personal items left by their passengers; some of which include cellphones, documents, and cash. For this batch of awardees, the most valuable item returned was cash amounting to P52,000.00, which was surrendered by one of the drivers to the Office for Public Safety (OPS) and later returned successfully to its owner.

City Mayor Alf Ortega expressed admiration and appreciation for the honesty and dedication of the tricycle drivers to their occupation. He inspired the awardees to continue their goods deeds amidst the difficulties that we are all facing this time of pandemic.
