In celebration of National ICT Month this June 2025, the City Government of San Fernando, La Union, rolled out a series of digital capability-building programs aimed at promoting digital inclusion and government efficiency.

Spearheaded by the City Information and Communications Technology Office (CICTO), the initiatives conducted were aligned with the goals of the DigitalCitiesPH and Smart and Sustainable Communities Programs.

In partnership with the Department of Information and Communications Technology – Regional Office I (DICT ROI), two key projects were conducted: the Google Workspace Training for City Hall employees, enhancing digital productivity in public service; and the Cybersecurity Awareness Training for senior citizens, designed to promote online safety and responsible internet use among the elderly.

Additionally, the city started its in-house 2-day Productivity Tools Training for city and barangay health workers, with a target of 260 participants, to strengthen digital proficiency in frontline healthcare delivery.

These efforts underscore the city’s commitment to building an inclusive, secure, and digitally empowered #PeoplesCity of #SanFernandoTayo.
