In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and to further strengthen the health care system of the City, the City Government of San Fernando received its newly acquired Mobile Health Clinic today, September 24, 2020, in front of the City Hall. City Mayor Alfredo Pablo Ortega, together with City Vice Mayor Chary Nisce, City Councilor John Orros, City Councilor Jessie Miranda, Officer-In-Charge of the City Health Office (CHO) Dr. Arman Carrera, and staff members from the CHO, led the inspection of the mobile health clinic. The Mobile Health Clinic offers diagnostic examinations, including X-Ray, ultrasound, ECG, and free medical health care consultation. According to Dr. Arman Carrera, Officer-in-Charge of the City Health Office, this would be of great help to reach the residents who need medical services, especially to those who are residing within remote areas of the City. “Kailangan nating ipunta ang services natin sa mga barangay, malaking tulong ito sa mga mamamayan na hindi kayang makapunta sa sentro ng siyudad, tayo na mismo ang pupunta para sa kanila upang makapagbigay ng dekalidad na serbisyo pagdating sa kanilang kalusugan”. The Mobile Health Clinic was acquired through the Bayanihan Grant to Cities and Municipalities from the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) which intends to boost the CoViD-19 capacities of cities and municipalities across the country. The City Government of San Fernando will continue to respond promptly to urgent health needs with the help of modern technology.
