As the City of San Fernando, La Union transitions from Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) to Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ), the City Government of San Fernando, through the City Incident Management Team (IMT), conducts roving inspection in the City this morning, August 1, 2020. This is to properly coordinate and disseminate the MGCQ guidelines to our stakeholders particularly volunteers and enforcers who are currently manning the three major border control points in the City.
Meanwhile, to ensure the safety and protection of all passengers in the different public transportation terminals, the City IMT coordinated with the volunteers from AGK and LUVR together with the safety officers to remind all bus operators to comply with the stringent sanitary measures and to establish quarantine desks for thermal scanning and to properly check all the documents being required from the passengers such as their Valid ID and Health Declaration Form.
Moreover, the City IMT also inspected operations inside the City Public Market. The team informed safety officers from the City Philippine National Police to also check necessary documents of consumers upon entering the market such as their home quarantine and special home quarantine passes.
As we shift to the #NewNormal, the public is advised to continue practicing the minimum health standards such as social distancing, mandatory wearing of face mask, and frequent washing of hands.
This pandemic continues to challenge our City; thus, we urge everyone to cooperate and share their part to protect not only the community but also our families.
The City Government of San Fernando continues to prioritize the safety of everyone amidst the threat of Covid-19.
With #SharedResponsibility, we will overcome and heal as one, because #SanFernandoAyAyatenKa.
