This training is part of the DICT-IIDB SPARK Social Media Management program to empower marginalized sectors through digital skills development. The recent group who graduated is the sixth group to complete the City Government’s ICT capacity-building programs, bringing the total number of beneficiaries to 111.
The event was attended by Ms. Jaemie D. Ruiz-Chua, Chief Administrative Officer and DICT La Union Provincial Head, who highlighted the program’s role in promoting digital inclusion. DICT SPARK Trainer Milky Joy M. Camat also congratulated the scholars, commending their dedication and growth throughout the training.
Meanwhile, Mayor Dong expressed pride in the scholars’ accomplishments, urging them to use their new skills to improve the lives of their families and empower others in need. He also reaffirmed the City Government’s dedication to providing programs that foster growth and improve the lives of all Fernandos and Fernandas.
The ceremony also honored eight exceptional scholars with medals for their outstanding performance, highlighting the transformative impact of the SPARK Program in advancing digital skills and career opportunities for marginalized sectors in the community.
