CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANIZATIONS, NAGPULONG PARA SA PAGBUO NG UNANG LOCAL PEOPLE'S COUNCIL SA SIYUDAD.

Nagtipon ang iba’t ibang Civil Society Organizations ng City of San Fernando, La Union sa pagtatatag ng kauna-unahang Local People’s Council ng siyudad kung saan hinalal ang kanilang Board of Directors at Executive Committee.
Ginanap sa J&V Function Hall, Brgy. Sevilla noong Pebrero 27, 2023, hinirang ang mga sumusunod bilang Board of Directors ng Local People’s Council para sa sumusunod na sektor:
– Cooperatives: Ms. Aurie Nellie Tumbaga ng United Barangays Multipurpose Cooperative
– Transport: Mr. Ernesto Mata ng Multicab Action Group
– Youth and Children: Rep. Glenn Cacho ng Bukas Palad
– Labor: Mr. Andrew Cesar Rimando ng Lorma Community Development Foundation Inc.
– Business: Mr. Randy Berner ng Real Estate Brokers Association of the Philippines (REBAP)
– Peasant: Mr. George Balcita ng Mameltac Farmers Association
– Non-Government Organizations: Mr. Larry Cabatic ng Council for the Restoration of Filipino Values
– Education: Mr. Anacleto Zamoranos ng Gifts of Love
– Senior Citizens: Ms. Natividad Pelaez ng City Federation of Senior Citizens Association
– Women: Filomena Ms. Gloria Subala ng Millennium Women’s League Inc.
– Civic, Professional and Enthusiast Sector: Ms. Elizabeth Sera ng Government Retirees Association of San Fernando, La Union (GRASFLU)

Farolan, City Local Government Operations Officer Ms. Lily Ann Colisao, Mr. Michael John Borja ng City Department of Interior and Local Government, at Philippine Information Agency.
Sa tulong ng Civil Society Organization (CSO) Desk na pinangungunahan ni Mr. Randy Abasolo ng City Planning and Development Office, ang pagbuo ng Local People’s Council ang pinakamalaking proyekto ng CSO Desk sa kasalukuyan. Binubuo ang CSO Desk nina Ms. Abegail Esteban ng Corporate Relations Office, Mr. Wilbert Mayo ng City Assessor’s Office, Ms. Anna Dominique C. Alsong ng City Social Welfare and Development Office, Ms. Kim Malicdem ng Office for Strategy Management, at Ms. Imelda Quindara ng CPDO.
