Congrats! Ma'am Aiko of the city library, a recipient of the 'gawad ng country representative ng the asia foundation award'

For her invaluable efforts in fostering an innovative and inclusive library in San Fernando, the National Library of the Philippines recognized the excellent service of Ms. Aiko Nagas, Officer-in-Charge of the City Library.
Last August 25, 2021, Manong Dong and Ms. Aiko attended the virtual awarding ceremony held during the 1st ASEAN Virtual Regional Conference of Public Librarians.
In the ceremony, Ms. Aiko received the ‘Gawad ng Country Representative ng The Asia Foundation Award’ signed by Mr. Sam Chittick, the Asia Foundation Philippine representative. The Asia Foundation is a nonprofit international development organization committed to improving lives across a dynamic and developing Asia.
Before the awarding ceremony, Ms. Aiko was also invited to share her story in ‘Ang LibStory ko: Giving Emphasis on the Value of Public Libraries’ during the said conference.
For championing her profession and improving the services of the City Library despite the pandemic, we congratulate again our very own kabsat, Ms. Aiko!
