The City Government of San Fernando, La Union, through the City Incident Management Team (City IMT), takes part in the conduct of the National Government’s Off-site Aggressive Community Testing (ACT) Operations at the Poro Point Management Corporation (PPMC) grounds on October 20, 2020.

The ACT is spearheaded by the National COVID-19 Inter-Agency Task Force together with the National Task Force (NTF) for Coronavirus Disease-2019 (COVID-19), Regional IATF, Office of Civil Defense (OCD), Department of Health (DOH), Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA), in cooperation with the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) and the PPMC.

The three-day activity aims to conduct RT-PCR or Swab Tests on 3,000 individuals that consist of mostly City tricycle drivers and employees from different National Government Agencies (NGAs).

Testing kits that were provided by the PPMC as part of their corporate social responsibility. The City Government provided food for both the swabbing team and the clients, the needed manpower and logistical support during the program.
