As part of its commitment to improve existing roads, facilities, and buildings, as well as to provide other necessary support infrastructure, the City Government of San Fernando, led by City Mayor Alf Ortega and Vice-Mayor Chary Nisce, together with City Councilors John Orros, Antonio Jucar, and Atty. Rizalde Laudencia, inaugurated newly-accomplished infrastructure projects within the City last September 2 and 3, 2020. A ceremonial ribbon cutting was done within each project site and a blessing ceremony was administered by St. William Cathedral priest, Fr. Bobby Collado and Fr. Raul Panay.

Through the City Engineering Office, the City Government has accomplished a total of nine (9) infrastructure projects for 2020 namely:

• Construction of farm to market road with drainage canal at Purok 1, Barangay Santiago Sur
• Rehabilitation of barangay road and drainage (flume type) at Purok 3, Cabaraoan
• Road widening and improvement of drainage system going to Christ the Redeemer, Purok 7, Barangay 1
• Construction of flume type drainage canal along Bonifacio St., Barangay Ilocanos Sur
• Construction of flume type drainage canal and improvement of barangay road at Purok 1,2,3, and 4, Barangay San Francisco
• Repair/rehabilitation and completion of drainage canal at Sampaguita St., Barangay San Vicente
• Rehabilitation of barangay road Purok 3,5, and 7, Barangay Dalumpinas Este
• Construction of storage facility (fats, oils, and grease recovery and storage) at Engineered Sanitary Landfill, Barangay Mameltac
• Construction of additional treatment facility for leachate stage 3 at Engineered Sanitary Landfill, Barangay Mameltac

The City Government recognizes the importance of infrastructure development as one of the key support programs for the City’s economic growth as we strive to become a Smart City by 2025. We do all these because #SanFernandoAyayatenKa
