The City Government, through its Digital Democracy Council, conducted the Digital Democracy Closing Ceremony with several stakeholders from different civil society organizations and sectors at the People’s Hall on September 9, 2024.

Mr. Mario Anacleto M. Zamoranos, Chairperson of the Local Peoples Council (LPC) and Co-lead of the Digital Democracy (DD) Council welcomed the attendees while Ms. Kimberly P. Malicdem, Administrative Officer II of the Office of the Strategic Management, acknowledged the participants at the event.

During the activity, Ms. Geeta Keswani, Project Lead of Makati Business Club graced the event online through Google Meet to express her message of support for the success of the implementation of the Digital Democracy Program (DDP) in the city. After this, Prof. John Raymond B. Barajas, Associate Professor and Data Scientist from Bicol University, presented the data analysis of the results of the DDP.

Having the results presented, Dr. Mark Anthony D. Latoja, Lead of the Digital Democracy Council, delivered the way-forwarding message of City Mayor Hermenegildo A. Gualberto highlighting the City Government’s commitment to improving feedback mechanisms and overall service to people.

Ms. Elizabeth F. Sera, member of the LPC Board of Directors, also delivered a message on behalf of the civil society organizations and stated her gratitude and appreciation to the City and the DD Council for the efforts in ensuring better public service delivery through transformative technology.
