CITY OF SAN FERNANDO EXHIBITS HOSPITALITY, TALENTS DURING RANIAG REGION 1 CREATIVE TOUR
As part of the 5-day Rediscover Artistry, Nurture Identity, and Accelerate Growth (RANIAG): Region 1 (R1) Creative Tour spearheaded by the Department of Tourism (DOT) and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), local creative industries in the City of San Fernando, La Union gathered at the Halo-Halo de Iloko to demonstrate the city’s warm welcome and showcase their rich talents among the tour’s participants on September 9, 2025.
National and local artists, fashion designers, chefs and restaurateurs, local tour operators, social media influencers, photographers, creative industries key persons and the media were immersed in the concluding activities such as WearABEL Show, creative performances, workshops, cooking demonstration, and success stories.
Likewise, the creative tour visited landmarks, artisans, artists, creative enterprises from the cities and municipalities of La Union and Pangasinan from September 9-13, 2025.
Moreover, the creative tour was graced with the messages of gratitude and support from Sangguniang Panlalawigan Member Hon. Alyssa Kristine B. Sibuma, Department Head of the Local Economic and Business Development Office Ms. Rizalyn D. Medrano, DOT R1 OIC Regional Director Ms. Evangeline M. Dadat, DTI Ilocos Sur Provincial Director H.A. Zaldy Z. Zafra, Jr., DOT R1 Chief Tourism Operations Officer Ms. Gay Nora Marie A. Gapas, DTI La Union Provincial Director Ms. Victoria A. Ordoño and Uncle Tom’s Sukang Iloko owner Ms. Karen de Guzman.
Through the RANIAG R1 Creative Tour, local creative industries in the city were able to increase their presence in the community while strengthening cultural and historical exchanges.
