Last 2018, the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) allocated PHP 7.2 Million on the development of public open spaces across the People’s City. This project is in line with DBM’s program “Green, Green, and Green”, which aims to support 145 cities in the country to develop parks and create a greener and more sustainable environment.
In 2019, the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) and Engineering and Architectural Services (EAS) Office were able to comply with the requirements of the Department of Budget Management (DBM) with the assistance of their team of technical experts on Urban Greening.
To date, the Green Space Project of the City Government around the City Public Market is now 90% accomplished. The contractor is now in the process of installing solar lighting to light up the area at night as well as completing the self watering system.
With the vision of becoming a healthy, peaceful and clean People’s city, your City Government of San Fernando continues to achieve a liveable and sustainable city for the people.
The City continues to develop an eco-friendly environment that our generation and the future generations can proudly call home.
